Le jour de gloire est arriv
Not quite the Revolution yet, but today, Bastille Day, Pogwatch evolved a step further, acquiring this blog.
The blog entry uses a basic version of Pubkit, the set of facilities I put together earlier this year to enable front-end editing of news and events items, front-page trailers and custom database items on another site.
Pubkit uses the DocManager library to create and update documents, while entry of information uses my own snippet, loosely based on NewsPublisher, but a lot more flexible. Ditto is used to list out items based on documents, and LoopDbChunk for custom records. As well as entry and display of items, there are front-end management screens for the editor to view items' status and select to modify or delete them. There's also a Preview function, which makes the whole publication business a lot more confortable.
Details will be published here and on the MODx forums once I have put them into viewable format. Meanwhile, here are a couple of screenshots:
